I was drawn to sales engineering to help bridge the technology gap for my customers. After an initial career in field work, desktop support, and pre-sales and solution engineering, I was fast-tracked into a leadership position and promoted to lead 4 markets in Denver. I have consistently been promoted and tapped for new leadership roles and tasked to stand up globally aligned teams and organizations, building more than a decade of experience in people leadership, coaching, mentoring, change leadership, and building high performing global sales engineering teams. FAWTSY! Find a Way To Say YES! I have coached this mantra into every team I have ever led. The concept is pretty simple, but difficult to execute. If a customer needs a one-off solution, pick up the phone with the product team to see what is possible. Then open negotiations with the customer to find a way to meet in the middle. Many people see roadblocks as immovable objects, I see them as an opportunity to find a way to deliver what our customer is asking for. My Leadership Style My leadership philosophy is simple. My job is to make sure my team has everything they need to be successful. I am here to remove roadblocks, coach and mentor (develop), and engage resources that may not be directly available to them. I take pride in getting the most out of each individual on my team, both direct reports and peers and am known as a fair leader, a calming influence, a collaborator, and a great team player.
