I’m a Senior Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where I lead multidisciplinary projects at the intersection of machine learning, grid modernization, and microgrid resilience. I hold a Ph.D. in energy systems engineering, with a focus on optimization, control, and AI applications for distributed energy resources. As the Business Development Lead for the Power Systems Engineering Center (PSEC), I translate national energy priorities into applied research and deployable technology. I’ve served as Principal Investigator on high-impact federal and industry projects involving battery market integration, CHIL/PHIL testing, and edge-deployable fault detection systems. I regularly lead cross-lab teams, mentor junior researchers, and engage with both public and private partners to accelerate innovation in clean energy systems.
