Background

About Richard Calaba

My journey in technology leadership began at SAP in Germany, where I discovered my passion for bridging complex technical solutions with business value. With a strong foundation in Computer Science from Charles University and hands-on experience across European and American markets, I've built a career that spans multiple technological paradigms - from traditional ERP systems to cutting-edge cloud platforms and AI solutions. At Microsoft, I led the critical initiative of migrating M365 services to Sovereign Clouds, where my team pioneered new approaches to cloud service deployment and security. At PwC Czech Republic, I was leveraging this expertise to spearhead our SAP Business Technology Platform practice, where we're transforming how our clients utilize SAP Success Factors and S/4 Public Cloud solutions. Looking ahead, at SAP I am now focused on expanding our capabilities in cloud-native architectures, AI integration, and cross-platform solutions in the IAG (Identity Access Governance) product group family. My vision is to continue building high-performing, culturally diverse teams that drive innovation in enterprise technology. I'm particularly passionate about mentoring the next generation of technical leaders who can navigate both the technological and business aspects of digital transformation. Through continuous learning and adaptation, I aim to contribute to shaping the future of enterprise technology solutions while fostering an environment where technical excellence meets business innovation.
