Background

About Richard Conti

My current career adventure is in law enforcement. In 2020 I stepped back from full-time business leadership to expand my community service work in this new field. I am a graduate of a California State sponsored law enforcement academy and now work as a Deputy Sheriff Reserve with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office. This career adventure also includes earning a Master of Science in Criminal Justice at USC, which I completed in December of 2023.My passion for public service is rooted in volunteer service with Angel Flight West, a compassionate aviation organization offering free medical transportation to financially challenged, underserved, and geographically isolated patients and companions. Additionally I served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, the uniformed, volunteer component of Coast Guard Forces, for over 20 years as a command pilot, instructor, and mentor. My prior professional career as a private equity portfolio CEO included successful assignments in "next stage" growth companies as well as turn-around situations. My overall executive leadership career included positions with top-tier consumer products companies: P&G, Clorox, Wilton Brands, and SC Johnson. This “big company” experience has been augmented by entrepreneurial leadership roles.
