Rich Cooper is the Vice President, Regulatory at FanDuel Group, where he plays a key role in the company's legal leadership. He leads a team of over 40 attorneys and professionals, overseeing the company’s investigations and regulatory enforcement, product advisory, regulatory strategy, and corporate security groups. Before joining FanDuel, Rich spent nearly a decade as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he was a senior member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force. As a federal prosecutor, he led numerous high-profile white-collar crime investigations and prosecutions, including- The landmark securities fraud prosecution of a U.S. investment management company with $120 billion in assets under management- The prosecution of an Iranian computer hacker network responsible for a global cyber intrusion campaign targeting 300+ universities, private companies, and government agencies- Ten criminal jury trials involving securities fraud, insider trading, money laundering, and consumer fraud. Earlier in his career, Rich was a litigation associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell, following a clerkship at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He also worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company. Rich is a cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School and a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College.
