Background

About Richard Hertogs

Accountant, Drake Alum, and self-improvement advocate. Through my accounting roles in both tax and audit, I've gained valuable skills and professional experience that have helped me continue to push myself out of my comfort zone and grow as an accountant, professional, and individual. I plan on acquiring my CPA license and learning additional skills to help others and myself understand and manage finances. Over the past few years, I've had many leadership roles in organizations that I've been a part of that have taught me the value of communication, persistence, and empathy. These roles include Chancellor, Fundraising Chair, Webmaster, and Treasurer. My goal is to become involved in inspiring work that pushes me to continue to improve myself, pursue my purpose and passions, and encourage others to find their purpose and passions. I love anything involving creativity and finding mediums to express yourself. I enjoy drawing and journaling because I appreciate how they allow me to make my ideas come to life and how they push me to create a more precise version of my thoughts and beliefs through the method I choose to use.
