Many years of varied hands-on Operations, Purchasing, Supplier & Materials Management, Program and Project Management and Product Development experience in positions of continually increasing responsibility and compensation at companies that range from Multi-billion, Multi-national Corporations to small successful manufacturing organizations. This has provided me with experience in a wide range of fields from Medical Devices, and Telecommunications in the high tech arena, to low-cost, high-volume consumer products. Successfully managed multiple projects developing and sending to market a variety of technically complex products for both the Medical Device and Environmental Monitoring and Environmental Meteorological Instrumentation markets managing cross functional teams of Manufacturing, Design Engineers and Marketing people. Responsible for managing Outsourcing programs for a wide range of products and commodities from complex electronics assemblies, to medical instrumentation, to high level fiber optics components, to high volume consumer products. Built a World-Class Materials organization from a start-up 5 person group to an integrated group of 36 Materials Professionals in less than a year, and then managed the reduction in force to a staff of less than 6 in the following two years due to the collapse of the Fiber Optics market. An excellent track record in establishing and communicating the strategic direction of the procurement and materials flow process. Experience dealing with international suppliers and customers in high technology fields. Experience as a senior member of four different ISO implementation teams, all of whom were successful on our first audit. Hands on knowledge and experience with the FDA’s GxP/GMP/QSR requirements. I have been called upon to give presentations to joint ASQC and FDA sponsored seminars on Supplier Development and Control in these regulatory environments. Developed, implemented, and managed supplier monitoring and control systems to develop and improve supplier performance and reliability. Experience with several IT MRP/ERP Systems including: Net Suite, Epicor, JDEdwards, MANMAN, Expandable, MAXCIM, Dataflo MRP Systems. I have been a member of the selection team for choosing and implementing a new ERP system for three different organizations. A thorough understanding and great deal of experience, in setting up and running JIT, DFT, TQM, Lean and Continuous Improvement Programs.
