About Richard Laboda

As a Health Administration professional with five years’ experience managing a high-volume medical device inventory, I have acquired significant skills relating to financial management, personnel management, data analysis, root cause analysis, and forecasting. I bring the core values of commitment, teamwork, and patient centered care that defines an effective health system. Executing my knowledge gained at Henry Ford Health System-Main, I initiated the 5S Lean Manufacturing process to increase revenue charge capture for ancillary medical devices and decrease product retrieval time. Upon absence of the Materials Supervisor, I directed the daily activities of two department resources and provided direction for all product related questions. At the completion of the sorting phase in the 5S Lean Manufacturing process, I calculated an ABC Analysis utilizing PeopleSoft Clinical Services Inventory to determine medical device placement on supply racks. To resolve medical device charge capture errors, I initiated root cause analysis methods to systematically prevent future point of use issues. After reviewing monthly Electrophysiology expired medical devices, I analyzed prior usage of each device to forecast the appropriate par level. My extensive experience acquired in Supply Chain Management coordinating staff and managing a combined inventory of $9M, have positioned me to make a positive impact in the healthcare industry.
