A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development for 15 years, with 30 years of HR experience, most of which gained at a Senior Level, coupled with relevant graduate / post-graduate qualifications. Recent experience, since 2001, has been mostly international HR with a wide geographic scope of responsibility throughout Europe, Americas, Africa and Asia, facilitated through frequent international business travel. A professionally qualified Senior HR professional with generalist (business-wide, operational, and functional) and specialist (industrial relations, M&A, L&D) experience of leading HR / Corporate Services Teams in unionized and non-unionized environments. Experience gained across a variety of sectors (manufacturing, engineering, high technology and Financial Services), encompassing all aspects of HR across multiple Blue Chip operations. Significant experience as a self-employed Business Consultant and Non-Executive Director, plus numerous extra-curricular activities within business groups, forums and charitable organisations, including CIPD Wales (steering group for the Senior HR Practitioners network). In addition to HR expertise; extensive experience of Mergers & Acquisitions, initial due diligence through the Sale & Purchase Agreement through to post-acquisition integration for acquisitions, and the whole divestment process for business sale (including business separations in preparation for partial divestments), through to Management Buy-Out, Facilities Management experience of a complex hi-technology facility, multi-facility Site Services experience across large significant spend facilities.
