Background
About Richard McKercher
Richard G. McKercher received his B.Eng at Memorial University of Newfoundland in Mechanical Engineering where he received funding for dynamic cable modelling research. Richard joined Carleton University where he completed his M.A.Sc. in aerospace engineering and has continued to pursue a Ph.D. He is interested in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) where his research focuses on the dynamics and control of aerial vehicles operating in the urban environment while subjected to turbulent urban airflow conditions. His goal is to evaluate control systems in turbulent urban environments to better understand what safe UAM operations will require.
