I lead the Kinetic Analysis team that provides our clients with real-time, high-resolution geospatial data on hazards and impacts associated with extreme events. Our data helps: a) insurers and brokers understand their potential exposure to loss and informs their response; b) emergency managers plan for and respond to extreme events that turn into natural disasters; and, c) companies develop parametric insurance products. Our main products include hazard data caused by tropical cyclones (wind, storm surge, rainfall, and waves) and earthquakes (PGA, MMI, spectral acceleration). We also provide hazard and impact data via our web app KinetiCast™. All our products have global coverage and are based on globally a consistent modeling approach. We also offer a multi-model view of the hazards and impacts. This can be important for clients that need hazards analyses based on local authoritative sources such as tropical cyclone forecasts from WMO Regional Specialized Meteorological Centers. Kinetic Analysis also offers clients detailed probabilistic risk assessments on a custom basis.
