You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.” ― Plato Building on a number of years of experience working in the environmental sector with a focus on bringing people together in support of environmental improvement efforts, I am currently pursuing a new career as a Recreational Therapist. I am excited by the opportunity to be able to leverage my existing skills and knowledge in a new way and to build new expertise to support improving the quality of life for people directly. In particular, I am extremely interested in working with seniors, with a focus on design and delivery of programming to enhance their daily functioning. I am a candidate to complete my Degree of Recreational Therapy in Spring 2017 and have started to build experience in this field through supporting an Adult Day Program offered through Community Care Durham.
