Richard Saltzman is a founder of and principal in the law firm of Saltzman Law Group, LLC. Richard’s vast expertise as an attorney in franchise law, combined with his experience as a senior executive with Wyndham Worldwide and its predecessor companies, gives him unique insight into the inner workings of the franchise industry. While with Wyndham Worldwide and its predecessor Cendant Corporation, Richard played a key role in the company’s franchise sales and development efforts, and served as a primary witness in litigation-related matters for over a decade. Richard was responsible for the franchise administration process for all of Wyndham’s hotel brands. Wyndham franchises over locations worldwide. Wyndham is the parent company of such well known brands as Ramada, Days Inn, Super 8, Howard Johnson and Travelodge. In a similar capacity, Richard also headed up Franchise Administration for the RCI Holiday Network, another Wyndham division. In his role as corporate counsel, Richard was responsible for handling all aspects of support for the franchise sales and administration departments in contract negotiation; oversight of the franchise compliance functions of the company including license agreement default and termination matters; commercial real estate transactions and financings; negotiation of hotel management agreements and various legal issues covering all aspects of hotel operations. Richard has handled thousands of commercial transactions in the hospitality industry. During his franchising career, Richard also led operational due diligence and integration teams for various corporate acquisitions.
