About Richard Simmonds

Richard joined Hoggett Bowers in 2024. Previously, Richard worked at Korn Ferry, which he joined in 2008 as the Practice Head for Industry & Professional Services leading a team of consultants covering Infrastructure, Construction, Manufacturing, Engineering, Mining, Energy, Oil & Gas and Public Sector. In 2013 he was appointed Head of Search with responsibility for the operational aspects of the London based search organisation. Having joined Harvey Nash, in 2015, as a Director and Head of Practice, Industry with responsibility for retained search assignments across the sector, Richard re-joined Korn/Ferry in 2017. His expertise covers construction, infrastructure, building products, manufacturing and transport. Richard is an experienced recruitment professional with a number of years experience in the marketplace. Post graduation, he joined the Royal Navy and flew the Lynx helicopter in the Fleet Air Arm completing a number of tours of duty around the world. Upon completion of his military service, Richard joined UBS and worked for a further 6 years as a fixed income trader specialising in the Australian and New Zealand government and corporate markets. Richard left the banking world and joined Holtby Turner, a boutique focusing on the Property, Construction and Engineering, where Richard became a Director, leading on professional services within these sectors. Richard holds a LLB (Hons) in Law. He is a Freeman of the City of London and an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute.
