Richard Simmons is an experienced Portfolio Manager of long-only equity strategies with over 22 years of investment experience. His investment philosophy follows value investing principles. Currently, Richard is a Portfolio Manager and a founder of Derby Street Managers, where he has managed the UK and European Equities funds since 2013. Since 2001 he worked at Credo Capital, a multi-billion wealth manager in London, as a professional money manager, and prior to that Richard was investing on his own. Between 1997 and 2001 Richard was a non-executive director and a lecturer at Cass Business School and Imperial School of Management. He was commissioned by Financial Times/Longman to write one of the first academic studies of Warren Buffett, “Buffett Step by Step”.
