About Richard Soss

I graduated with my Bachelors of Science (Earth Systems emphasis) from Oregon State University in 2019. My professional goals are to use my background and knowledge to protect, preserve, and enhance our natural resources. Before going back to school, I owned and operated a small farming business in which I was the sole owner and operator. Recently, I finished a yearlong internship with the City of Santa Rosa Water department that provided me with a working knowledge of: environmental outreach and education, greenhouse gas inventories, storm water and creek functions and operations, and local government operations. My education involved a wide range of classes across many intersecting fields, including: earth sciences, core sciences, statistics, natural resource management, GIS, ecology, climatology, research methodology, and water science and policy.
