Commercial litigator specialising in complex banking and financial services, professional negligence and shareholder litigation as well as boardroom disputes and domestic and international investigations. Recent experience includes- Commercial Court proceedings against a former employee regarding disclosure of confidential information, including obtaining injunctive (Anton Pillar) relief and related Court orders- Commercial Court injunction seeking to restrict former directors and employees and a Luxembourg based competitor from soliciting clients and employees and to recover loss and damage incurred as a result of their actions. The case was one of the first in this jurisdiction where a party successfully sought a so-called "springboard" injunction- defending multiple linked proceedings by a property development group against a financial institution involving claims in excess of €150m arising out of the appointment of a receiver as well as prosecuting recovery actions against the borrowers. The proceedings include successful applications for non-suit at the end of the plaintiffs' evidence after which judgments in excess of €60m were secured against various parties as well as fixing a third party (director of the plaintiffs) with the costs of the proceedings - the first time that such a finding has been made by an Irish Court- Commercial Court enforcement against a property development company and its shareholders and in the defence of related litigation resulting in total judgments of €170m- Commercial Court professional negligence claim against a Big Four firm where damages in excess of $60m were claimed.Selected as the International Client Choice Awards winner for Litigation in Ireland for 2016.Specialties: Commercial & Financial Services Litigation, Alternative Dispute Resolution, eDiscovery
