I started working for my uncle building homes when I was fourteen. I started off like every fourteen-year-old, running to get this, sprinting to get that, and never fast enough to satisfy my uncle. I mixed concrete, carried lumber, swept and cleaned the site, carried my uncle’s tools, and worked so hard that I slept in the truck everyday on the way home. I loved it and still do thirty-three years later. However, I’m not fourteen anymore and now manage millions of dollars of production every year but I’ve never stopped using the lessons learned that 1st summer break working for Uncle Jim. I’ve learned at least one or two things everyday since then and will continue to learn at least one thing until the day I pass from this earth. I am an experienced, systematic, detailed, hard working construction/project manager with experience in many of the following facets and systems utilized in everyday construction. • Construction Management and Operations Planning • Electronic Management Systems and Approaches in Relationship to Operations (Microsoft Project, P6, Timberline (Sage 300), Janus, Build Pro, Procore, etc.). • Federal and State Construction Management Requirements (FAR 52.2) • Quality Control and Assurance Processes (USACE QA/AC) • All logistical aspects associated with a Demolition and Construction Operations. • Demolition and Construction Plan Design, Implementation, and Review • Demolition and Construction Safety Planning, Design and Implementation (29 CFR 1926, 1910 and 1942). • Risk Management and Activity Hazard Analysis • Communicating with customers to determine their needs. Working with Construction and Design Teams to ensure those needs are met. • Material Management, Segregation, Processing, Transportation, Recycling and LEED reporting. • LEED requirements and planning as it relates to Demolition Operations (LEED AP). • Selective Structural Demolition and Shoring of Buildings and Structures • Dismantling and Renovation of Historical Structures • Razing of Hospitals, Prisons, Schools, Bridges, Shopping Centers, Industrial Structures, Office Buildings, and Many Other Structures • Hazardous Material Abatement and Remediation, and Soil Remediation I enjoy hunting, competitive long-range shooting, hiking, and the outdoors. I am a dog person who doesn’t entirely dislike cats and, like most people, understand animals much better than I understand people. But most importantly, I like working hard, accomplishing something, and after it’s done, taking a step back and admiring the work. If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing it right.
