Experienced controls engineer, Troubleshooter, PLC programmer, and former maintenance supervisor with good leadership, supervisory and planning skills and former electrician with expertise in industrial maintenance and industrial, commercial and residential construction practices. I have knowledge in electronics, programmable controllers, machine controls, industrial wiring, power distribution and switchgear. As a Department of Energy contractor employee, held a ‘Q’ security clearance for over 10 years. I am presently a controls engineer overseeing plant wide controls of machinery. Primarily working on developing and overseeing the development of all new machinery coming into the plant for future assembly lines. Chief controls consultant, with responsibility for all controls on new equipment and assembly lines. Designed hardware, and controls for process machinery, including logic, control panel fixtures and sensors. Responsible for assisting maintenance department in troubleshooting of controls, as well as instructing them on new systems and on Valeo standards, including ultra-lean manufacturing. Main responsibilities include: Writing specifications for incoming machinery and assembly lines, selecting suppliers based on cost and capabilities, monitoring and overseeing supplier development of program while ensuring cost is within budget and schedule fits into timeline dictated by customer. In the past year I have installed three such assembly lines. Two have launched into production and the third will launch in April, even though it is finished as of this writing. Since I have been with the company I have launched every line in production and am starting to replace lines that I have previously launched with new generation assembly lines based on lean manufacturing practices and new designs of the product. I am considered the expert in the controls field inside the plant and am constantly approached to assist both production and maintenance.
