About Rick Bamford

What is a trade waste officer. Well I'm glad you asked, Like most roles these days mine seems to change or "evolve" with the businesses needs. Along that journey you see alot of good ideas and the occasional "wow. what were you thinking!" Making the most of the change and assisting the customers of Unitywater remains my focus. Primarily I am supposed to ensure compliance by industry discharging to the sewer network, OR making sure business are discharging what they say they are discharging and mostly businesses are. The occsional issue will always present itself and I pride myself on dealing with those problems professionally. For the most part I have developed a large understanding of the sewearge system from the front to back (no pun intended). I was also a sewerage treament plant operator and reverse osmosis plant operator in a previous life. This previous experiance aids my day to day activities as a trade waste officer. My yearly goals are to take my annual leave and travel as much as possible and see new places and meet new friends. I would give myself an A+ in this area. I don't take life too seriously, there are enough people in world doing that and I don't want to add to there confusion. There is always something to enjoy and laugh at everday. Try and find it everyday and remember E-Coli happens!
