Fifth grade teacher for 22 years. In additon to my years of teaching experience, I have coached high school basketball at both the sub varsity and varsity levels for the past 20 years. Throughout the course of my current career I have become proficient at delivering content to a diverse group of learners, used data driven decision making to formulate curriculum to student needs, provided a wide range of learning opportunities which include digital resources as well, and worked with a wide range of team members to implement new policy ideas as well as educational directions. As I view education as a form of customer service industry, I have refined my skills at communicating thoughts and concerns with stakeholders in the world of education. I was given the Everyday Hero Award by Newington Public Schools in 2019 for my dedication to the student population at our school.
