Background
About Rick Calderon
I am a self-motivated college graduate with a major in Engineering Physics at the University of the Pacific. My main concentrations are in Power, Renewable Energy, Automation, and Electrical Engineering. As a University of the Pacific student I have gained skills in Autocad/Electrical Altium Orcad Python Microcontrollers PLC Ladder Logic. In addition, I have gained experience in working in various physics and electrical engineering labs containing high energy devices such as 250 volt power supplies and radioactive isotopes. While being an undergrad I have taken courses such as Circuit Theory with a lab, Electronics, Energy Conversion, Microcontrollers, Modern Physics, Differential Equations, Digital Design, Digital Signal Processing, Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Materials Science, General Physics 1,2, & 3. and General Chemistry. My projects include an autonomous robot, autonomous claw, experimenting with a multipurpose motor, developing a robotics course for middle and high school students, and building an MP3 Player. The autonomous claw is a self started project that uses the c and c++ capabilities of Arduino to operate a machine with the goal of practicing and advancing my abilities in programming and electrical engineering. The autonomous robot is a current team project for the robotics course that implements Tiva Launchpad and code composer. As a tutor for Pre-College Prep I led the development of an introductory course for middle and high school students as a means of introducing them to the topic in hand. The mp3 player was built using a tm4c1294 microcontroller and programmed in Code Composer.
