About Rick Carleton

As the GM and Owner of Avalon International Aluminum, I’ve had the privilege of leading a company that’s been at the forefront of the aluminum interior framing industry for over 34 years. Throughout that time, Avalon has become a trusted name among architects and specifiers across the country—known for our commitment to quality, design innovation, and life safety. One of our proudest achievements has been the development of our 45-minute Fire Rated Positive Pressure Aluminum Sidelight and Borrowed Light system—engineered with safety, aesthetics, and performance in mind. Our glazing units are rated for up to 45 minutes, and our door frames up to 90 minutes, offering peace of mind in commercial and institutional settings. At Avalon, we also prioritize durability and environmental responsibility by finishing all of our frames with powder coating—a finish that consistently outperforms liquid alternatives. My mission is to continue pushing the standard forward in our industry—delivering exceptional service, thoughtful solutions, and products that stand the test of time.
