About Rick Chiocchi

Role/Responsibility: Managing Director Rick is accountable for managing the risk management, transfer and financing needs with numerous health plans and health care organizations on both a regional and National basis. Much of Rick’s focus is working with managed care plans to address their risk enterprise including reinsurance programs designed to mitigate unbudgeted exposures and to preserve capital and profit. His clients also include Hospital and Healthcare Systems, Employer Coalitions and Physician Organizations. Experience/Qualifications: Within his 36 years of health care and insurance, Rick’s experience includes work with health care providers, managed care organizations, health plans and insurance companies in a variety of marketing, operations and management positions. Prior to joining Aon in 1996 he was a Vice President with the VHA assisting its members in managed care ventures including the development of risk-based networks and MCOs. He has served in a leadership capacity for a large statewide PPO network, and has an extensive background in the areas of provider contracting, employee benefits and alternative funding of insurance programs.
