My specialty is leading cross-functional teams to optimize corporate drilling, completions, pipeline, and facility operations for oil & gas Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) projects. With 20+ years of experience in diverse production / exploitation engineering and facilities management positions, I am adept at supporting both field-based production operations and solving critical asset management challenges. After launching my career as a Facilities Engineer with Devon Energy, I have been recruited to the following roles: VP Operations (Rocky River Petroleum, Ltd.) Senior Exploitation / Production Engineer (Compton Petroleum Corporation, Tristar Oil & Gas, Ltd. & Breaker Energy, Ltd.) Senior Engineer / Operations Manager (Rampart Oil, Inc./ Resourceful Petroleum Canada, Ltd.) Production Engineer, Husky Energy (Avid Oil & Gas, Ltd.) Manager Production Operations (Canada Capital Energy Corporation) Production & Facilities Manager (Coral Hill Energy, Ltd.) In my most recent role as Senior Engineer / Operations Manager with Rampart Oil, I reported directly to the CEO, supervising teams of operations engineers, field personnel, and direct contractors for all production, drilling, completions, pipeline, and facility projects. One of my core duties was ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) corporate compliance with all Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) regulations for production operations field activities. On the business development side, I also provided technical due diligence, operations, production, and infrastructure support for A&D evaluations. Some of my career impacts and specializations include: Stewarding +$40MM budgets and building AFEs for 200+ new well projects, including production for two new oil batteries as well as a bbl/d blending facility with $100K / month in added revenues. Implementing gas plant / oil battery mods, compressor stations, new treaters, pipeline gathering systems, test satellites, water injection facilities, new water disposal wells, and pipelines. Executing production and exploitation engineer duties, including asset management, economic assessment, and reserve evaluations in addition to daily operations management, forecasting, and optimization. Directing 10 field staff to construct two new oil batteries with 25% schedule overlap (Swan Hills bbl/d & Virginia Hills bbl/d capacities) as a Production / Facilities Manager for a 6k boe/d company.
