About Rick Curvers

I am passionate about chemistry and science, always have been. As a young child, I remember my parents taking me to an amusement park. The only thing I cared for was figuring out how all those puppets moved around. See, I always want to know why something works, or why it doesn't. In line with my passion as a kid, I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. I always knew I wanted to work in industry and get valuable company experience. I was very fortunate to discover Carbon, an additive manufacturing company based in Redwood City, California, USA. At Carbon, I work as an associative research scientist and I try to help my team to discover new chemistries for new formulations, improve existing ones, and above all I try to help the company move forward and secure its position as the leading supplier of additive manufacturing solutions.
