About Rick Engel

I am the managing partner for Armstrong Teasdale—an Am Law Top 200 firm with more than 250 attorneys across distinct practice areas and offices around the United States. The firm focuses its efforts primarily on corporate transactions, complex commercial litigation, and intellectual property, with dozens of specific practices within those areas including mergers and acquisitions, mass tort and catastrophic loss, patent litigation, and debt finance, among others. Throughout my career, I have represented the interests of local, regional, national and international corporations and financial institutions in all aspects of corporate and financial counseling. Now, as managing partner, I oversee Armstrong Teasdale’s daily operations and inform strategic direction. It’s my job to help grow the firm with focused intention, manage relationships within the partnership network, and shape the firm’s culture. I hold admissions in Missouri and Illinois, as well as with the U.S. Court of Appeals (Eighth Circuit) and the U.S. Supreme Court.
