About Rick Ferrara

As a Co-Lab leader for Gensler Dallas’ LifeFlex Co-Lab Rick leads over 100 talented architects, interior designs, graphic designs and brand strategists who work in a variety of practice areas, including Retail, Mixed Use, Government, Critical Facilities, Education, Housing, Hospitality and Food and Beverage. With over 30 years focusing on Automotive Retail, Rick leads a team focused on the design and construction of automotive dealerships, technical centers, and training facilities, and services as one of Gensler’s Automotive Industry Specialists. Well versed in organizing complex roll-out programs Rick is also working with national retailers to craft extensive roll out programs designed to rapidly deliver multiple facilities. Rick’s work includes both domestic and international projects and he encourages his clients to push boundaries, explore innovative solutions, and change the dialogue within the industry. An early advocate of sustainable design, Rick’s projects include the world’s first LEED dealership, the world’s first LEED Gold dealership, and the recently completed Corvallis Toyota, which is anticipated to be the world’s first Net-Zero Energy dealership. Rick received a Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin.
