About Rick Gobantes

Rick Gobantes has over 25 years of project management, operations and budgeting experience. In his current position at Palladium, Mr. Gobantes manages the operations and finance (project delivery) staff of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Promoting Results and Outcomes through Policy and Economic Levers (PROPEL) Health project and oversees the project's grants program. He also ensures project’s compliance with Palladium policies and USAID regulations. He was a Senior Manager, Field Programs under the USAID-funded Health Policy Plus (HP+) project at Palladium. Mr. Gobantes also led the project delivery of the Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) program at PATH and provided strategic guidance for program planning and management decisions. In his other prior position at PATH, he managed the operations of the Department for International Development (DfID)-funded projects Maximizing the Quality of Scaling-Up Nutrition (MQSUN) and Nutrition Embedding Evaluation Program (NEEP). Prior to joining PATH, Mr. Gobantes served as Senior Finance and Contracts Manager at Abt Associates where he managed the finance and administration of the DfID funded Partnership for Transforming Health Systems Phase 2 (PATHS2) project. Mr. Gobantes previously served at Palladium (formerly Futures Group) as a Senior Operations Manager for the USAID-funded POLICY II and Health Policy Initiative projects. In this capacity, he managed the Africa region country programs and was responsible for the financial and administration management of the region. He also served as the Director of Management and Operations in the Kyrgyz Republic where he headed the administration and finance of the Peace Corps Kyrgyz Republic country programs. The position included representing Peace Corps at the US embassy meetings and liaising with other United States government programs and local government offices in the Kyrgyz Republic.
