About Rick Hill

I have been practicing in community mental health since I graduated from residency. For the first 10 years, I served as medical director for Ravenwood Mental Health Center and for Recovery Resources Mental Health Center. In 2006 I left Ravenwood to put my full energy behind my work at Recovery Resources. Bringing primary care to the severely mentally ill was a major focus and interest of mine during my career, with many efforts put forth. Medicaid/Medicare structural roadblocks made this effort difficult, but now with a move to Neighborhood Family Practice (NFP), a FQHC (federally qualified health center) true integration is the standard of care. NFP is a very progressive agency, being first in Ohio, and second in the US to achieve the status of PCMH (patient centered medical home). Practicing at an agency like this allows for the rapid and seamless integration of mental health into the treatment plans of all patients.
