Prior to my retirement on January 1, 2021, I was the partner-in-charge of tax for the Yorkton office, having completed the In-Depth Tax Course in 1993 and the Advanced Tax Planning for the Owner-Manager Course in 2003. I served as the firm Managing Partner and IT partner from 2012 to 2020, stepping down in preparation for retirement at the end of 2020. I have a strong interest in the tax issues affecting owner-managed businesses and perform a wide range of tax planning services for our firm’s small- and medium-sized clients. As a general practitioner, I am knowledgeable about the challenges facing small business and farm business operations. I became partner of the firm in 1993 after joining the firm in 1979 as a junior accountant, taking time in between to obtain my B.Comm. from the University of Saskatchewan in 1983 and CA (now CPA)designation in 1987.
