Convened the Ukraine Refugee Support Service-Learning Project https://globalservicecorps.org/ukraine-refugee-support-service-learning-project/ Founded the CoGenerations Project: Generations collaborating for the common good, through dialogue, mutual mentoring, and engagement Founded Global Service Corps (GSC), a non-profit organization providing volunteer service-learning opportunities in seven developing countries. Initiated sustainable development projects with local communities. Directed overall organization since 1993. Provided GSC volunteer service-learning, cultural immersion programs of two weeks to six months for participants. Founded Lathrop and Associates, an international consulting organization providing organization development, sustainable agriculture and HIV/AIDS program assistance in sub-Saharan Africa. Initiated and managed GSC Seeds of Sustenance (SOS) Program providing cross-sectoral assistance to NGOs and international organizations in capacity building and training in HIV/AIDS prevention and care, nutrition and sustainable food production Initiated and managed GSC East Africa Program in Kenya and Tanzania. Collaborated with local and national government and community organizations. Facilitated GSC NGO registration in Kenya and Tanzania. Initiated and managed GSC Kenya and Tanzania HIV/AIDS prevention projects. Initiated and managed Kenya and TanzaniaGSC sustainable agriculture projects. Attracted and managed over $2 million in funding for Tanzania program, including approx.$1 million in USDA and USAID total grants. Initiated and managed GSC Southeast Asia Program in Thailand and Cambodia. Collaborated with local and national government and community organizations. Facilitated GSC NGO registration in Thailand. Managed headquarters staff of fourteen in the operation of four international associations providing integrity-based educational programs for professional interest groups. Facilitated the incorporation of two of these associations. Developed and administered association budgets and provided monthly financial statements for the Board of Directors of international faith-based organization. Founding Board member. Managed 35 staff members of a 300 acre organic farm and conference facility.
