I have recently joined the talented team of Surety and Construction claim professionals at Philadelphia Insurance Companies to take on a front line claim management role. For the last two decades I have had the role of Director/Senior Director of Claims for Hartford Bond where I managed a team of claim handlers and support personnel operating out of Fox Island, Washington. In those roles my team was principally responsible for Hartford claim activity and internal legal support for Hartford’s underwriting teams in or around the western half of the country. Prior to my time with Hartford, I worked for a short time with the surety team at Berkshire Hathaway, managed St Paul’s Western Surety Claims operation and managed surety claims for 13 years at Reliance Surety in a variety of claim capacities on both coasts. I am the founder and former Chairman of the Board of the Pearlman Association, a not for profit surety educational organization based out of the Seattle area. I obtained CPCU and AFSB designations and have been a frequent speaker/contributor for numerous industry groups and publications over the years.
