About Rick Manley

I have a proven track record of consistently delivering pragmatic results and I excel at getting difficult things done. I do this by aligning the team and stakeholders on shared objectives, adhering to business priorities, and focusing deliberately on organizational culture. My mission is to develop the organization’s implementation skills and capacity for systemic change. I believe human empathy is the key to connecting to people and transforming interpersonal team tension into high performing team motivation. As a Battalion Operations Warrant Officer in the US Army Special Forces, I oversaw the planning, execution, and assessment of special operations missions and training. With over 20 years of service, I have developed strategic analysis, operational planning, risk management, problem-solving, talent management, and leadership skills that enable me to support national security objectives and advance the special operations capabilities of the US Army. I hold a Master of Science degree in Defense Analysis and a Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Operations from the Naval Postgraduate School, where I also published a research paper on the Joint Combined Exchange Training program. I have a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph. I have an extensive deployment history, both to combat and as an advisor to senior representatives from partner nations - including numerous roles serving in US Embassies abroad. I am passionate about learning new skills and knowledge, solving hard problems, simplifying complex processes, building and collaborating with diverse teams, and innovating solutions for major challenges.
