About Rick Obrien

Following several successful years in retail, sales, and management, I opted for a new challenge and in 2016 returned to university to reskill. I graduated from Technological University Dublin in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Digital Business, Technology & Design, specialising in Scrum and Agile Project Management, earning a distinction. As part of my degree, I gained valuable experience in the role of Project Manager for a group of coders and designers on the course, working directly with a real client, assigned by the university, to develop a website and working app prototype. After graduation I took jobs with two highly prominent tech companies, in Airbnb and Apple. At Apple, I began as a Technical Support advisor for Apple devices, and quickly moved departments to AppleCare Developer Program support, working directly with Developers releasing their apps on the App Store. Having recently relocated to Toronto, I began working as an Agile Project Manager for software development company AppStudio where I work with clients to bring their vision to reality.
