For the past 10 years I have worked in the Medical Device industry and find it fascinating. I have a worked with the following Systems. Advanced Visualization Systems: 2DHD and 3DHD Camera Controllers, 3DHD Light Sources, Xenon Light Sources, 2D and 3D monitors, High Definition Recording Systems, Image Capture Systems, Full Color Printers. Power Instrument Systems: Advantage and PowerPro Consoles, NiCad and Lithium Battery charging systems. Endoscopic Systems: Irrigation pumps (large and small) and insufflators 30L-50L And I Strive to learn more. During employment with ConMed, I started in the Product Assurance division of the Quality Department, where I was given access to numerous videos that demonstrated the actual use of the equipment that I was testing and evaluating in a surgical environment. I gained a thorough respect and admiration for the technology and the people that engineered the products. After a few years I was given the opportunity to support and assist all repair operations on the service and repair production areas assuring that any delays were minimized and production was allowed to continue. I did that for many years. After a total of 8 years I was only again given a new opportunity. I was asked to manage numerous repair cells and ensure that the products were repaired in a timely fashion in order to meet our new goal of a 24 hour turnaround time. I was also given the opportunity to improve the work flow process of these areas as well as implement new repair area.
