Scott Miller is quoted as saying that "Raymo, is the best content-filter, game-feel-guy, and title-triage-person in the industry." This is a compliment. I think;) You name it, I’ve done it. My colorful trek through the games business began over 75 SKUs and over 25 years ago editing well-known mags and writing three hit strategy books. Then I jumped feet-first into dev, producing 17 SKUs for GT Interactive (including Duke Nukem, Blood and Max Payne), with all but one in the black. At the turn of the millennium I ran pub, dev, and partner relations and produced myriad multiplayer games as GameSpy Industries’ chief instigator, and then became director of first-party operations for Ericsson’s legendary Red Jade handheld (slain before its time by corporate shenanigans). As part of Interactive Studio Management I managed 15 game developers (overseeing projects like Battlefield 1942) and then did a stint at Hudson Soft running their console and wireless efforts. Working with HBO was an absolute blast, but Saber Interactive let me work with a team on such incredible products as the 343 Halo games and TimeShift. Nowadays I get to work on multiple projects simultaneously, working by choice with good humans only. I remain a lucky person—sweat equity included.
