I recently started a new role with CEC in Columbus, OH as a Structural Designer. I am currently designing a Manufacturing Coating Complex located in Crawfordsville, IN. We are designing the equipment foundations for the entire facility. My duties involve modeling, checking and drafting the foundations all while using Revit. Before leaving Texas, my last project with McDermott was at the Golden Pass LNG site in Port Arthur, TX. My roles include, Construction Coordinator, Heavy Lift Planner and Fabrication Coordinator. As a construction and fabrication coordinator, my duties include materials monitoring to ensure our piping and steel items arrive by construction start dates. This also includes construction planning and sequencing to ensure that material is on site and ready for erection. As a heavy lift planner, I am in charge of all heavy payloads that exceed 50 tons or lifts that are in excess of 85% lifting capacity of any given crane. In my previous role, I completed my project with the position of Lead Civil / Structural Designer focused in Petrochemical Facilities. Responsibilities include leadership and coordination while managing my team of designers and engineers to ensure quality and accuracy of design deliverables. The project was successfully completed and is currently under construction. My experience also includes all aspects in design, standards, preparation and checking of structural and concrete plans, sections and details for both new construction and existing facilities. Furthermore, I have successfully fostered a new standard for my company by being the first project at McDermott that utilizes the smart model transfer method to our steel fabricators. This was done by using the Smart Plant 3D software. The smart model transfer method will have a large impact on future projects by reducing costs and time. I have design coordination experience as an Expat in Mumbai, India as mentor and leader of Design responsibilities. A large portion of my design experience has come from my 14 months spent at the Freeport LNG site to oversee site coordination for field modifications to concrete and structural steel. In addition, I am highly proficient in using Revit, SmartPlant 3D, SmartSketch, AutoCAD, Microstation, PDS Frameworks, SmartPlant Review, Navisworks, PDMS Design, PDMS Draft, CADworx, Quantum Point Laser Scan and LFM Laser Scan, clash detection, creating Steel MTO reports, material requisition packages and distribution of deliverables.
