About Rick Spring

As an elementary teacher, along with previous experience in customer service and manual labor jobs, I've developed many skills and have a vast range of experience and training which are useful in all industries. Due to the nature of a classroom, I'm highly skilled in problem-solving, adaptability, organization, empathy, emotional intelligence, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity along with the following: Effective oral and written communication is a must in all industries, but in education, you must be very clear with instructions for students, and in order to work cooperatively with the parents. Conflict resolution is used almost daily when dealing with so many personalities in the classroom and with parents who have concerns. I have a strong work ethic. I was raised to strive to be the best I can be at any job. As a teen this trait caught the attention of management at a restaurant I worked at. I was called upon to work the busiest shifts during the holiday season. Most of my jobs provided me the opportunity to work independently after being given an assignment. I have always successfully finished the task at or beyond the expectation. I possess excellent time management skills. The is a must when presenting information in a finite amount of time on a daily basis. I have training and experience in using Google Suite Apps, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, Zoom, and Teams. Using these programs, I have done research and planning in order to present and teach lessons in person and remotely, develop lesson plans and presentation, provide information to parents and staff, and train staff at my school in using these programs. I was the "tech coach" at my school site for six years.
