About Rick Still

Rick Still is considered an expert in the development of high-level trade conferences within the global travel industry and is widely recognized as a pioneer in launching computer appointment-driven “trade shows” that have changed the way in which billions of dollars in sales are conducted each year. Still’s work spans over 35 years and 200 events consisting of projects for governments, airlines, tour operators and the world’s largest exhibition companies. Events include Rendez-Vous Canada, Florida Huddle, Latin America TravelMart, CHA Marketplace, Travel South Showcase, La Cumbre, JAPEX, Asia / Pacific VUSA Mart and many others. In 1990, Still launched La Cumbre which became one of the USA’s most successful travel trade events. Working with several key travel industry executives, Still has announced a "next generation" forum for travel industry professionals to meet, further relationships and build partnerships which facilitate inbound travel to the USA and other destinations from key markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Fifth annual La Cita de las Americas will be held August 29 - 31, 2017 in St. Petersburg Over the years, he has been named an Honorary Citizen of New Orleans, has received keys to the City from Orlando and Miami Beach, and was recognized by the US Department of Commerce for his “vision, leadership and ability”. Rick's wife of 47 years, passed through the veil on the first day of Spring 2017. She's dancing on streets of gold. Rick lives on the Northwest shore of Kingsley Lake in North Central Florida.
