About Rick Stratton

An experienced team developer, manager and leader, I am interested in opportunities that combine my unique blend of skills and interest in leadership and training. Having begun my career as a Plant Mechanic, working in a trade afforded me the invaluable opportunity to develop skills including technical communication, client rapport building, time management and diagnostic problem solving. Having always maintained an interest in science and technology, I made the provision to attend university, where I successfully completed my Bachelor of Science in Physics. Having displayed a strong aptitude for assisting and encouraging my peers, I was invited to become a Tutor and Laboratory Instructor. This opportunity afforded me knowledge and development in adult learning concepts, scheduling and marking. Upon moving from Western Australia to New South Wales, I started working in various customer service roles at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, at the Sydney Observatory and the Powerhouse Museum where I am now currently employed as a Visitor Services Manager.
