I am a dedicated development professional with over eight years of experience in nonprofit and international development sectors, specializing in advocacy, communications, and policy analysis. Currently, I serve as a Policy Analyst - Environment at the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, where I advance Indigenous rights-based advocacy on climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable development. My work focuses on fostering partnerships, conducting policy analysis, and creating impactful strategies to promote environmental justice and Indigenous leadership. With a Master’s in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership from Carleton University (expected 2025), I bring a strong foundation in policy, fundraising, and program evaluation, complemented by hands-on experience in storytelling, crisis communications, and campaign development. Previously, as Communications Coordinator at Mothercraft Ottawa, I crafted innovative marketing strategies and led media relations to amplify organizational impact. My international experience with CARE International and Mercy Corps in Nepal honed my expertise in gender justice, health, education rights, and climate resilience, where I spearheaded campaigns like 16 Days of Activism and developed knowledge products for global advocacy. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Nepali, with beginner-level French, I am skilled in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Canva, and WordPress, enabling me to create compelling content across platforms.
