About Ridley Soudack

What does it take for a team to create a successful project? Strong skills? Sure. Passion? Definitely. Camaraderie? Certainly helps. But when I found myself standing in front of a room full of twenty five 4-6 year old ESL students needing to put on a stirring rendition of the Three Little Pigs for the arrival of a looming Culture Festival, it was immediately clear to me that to succeed it would take more than just their friendship, boundless energy, or stellar acting chops. To see our project through, on-time and in-budget, it would take workflow planning. It would take scheduling. It would certainly take leadership and facilitation. Most importantly though, it would take a selfless dedication to making the hard work of my students shine. Three months later, watching the kids beam at peals of laughter and applause from their families, I felt more proud than I ever had when I was personally in the spotlight. I had woven the energy and skill of my students into something that gave joy to everyone involved. And it is that passion for leveraging my organizational and managerial skills to bring out the best in others that I seek to bring to a project coordinator position. I am detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed. I have extensive experience in a range of managerial and administrative roles, and am familiar with Agile management methodologies, in particular, Scrum.
