About Riikka King

I’m a mix of design and research, with a background rooted in art direction, techno-anthropology, and service design. Over the past decade, I’ve led creative work across industries and cultures. In recent years, my focus has shifted toward understanding how people interact with technology, and how those insights can inform better decisions, products, and services. To me, design research means asking the right questions in a structured and thoughtful way to support intentional and informed choices about what we plan and create. I use ethnographic methods, curiosity, and empathy to uncover real human needs, pain points, and behavioral patterns. The goal is always the same: to make things clearer, more meaningful, and more valuable for people and for the business.I help teams connect the dots between insight, creativity, and execution. I believe strong design strategy starts with listening and a willingness to challenge assumptions. My mission is to ensure that the things we build offer real value, and that responsible innovation serves the people it’s meant to help. Why settle for less?Let’s grab a coffee. I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
