About Rik Evans

Rik is an extremely intelligent and resourceful degree graduate. Having started his career in the Music industry, he was head-hunted in to IT through a flair with computers and an ability to identify and locate fault with ease. Capable of swift research on previously unknown topics; he is able to perform work to a wide scope undeterred by experience. Rik is able to fix any hardware device and has spent a lifetime fixing broken items and technology. After more than 14 years working in IT, he is a wealth of knowledge on technologies and their advancements and is able to keep hardware running well beyond its intended life-cycle. Rik's strong communication abilities enable him to prepare and deliver IT training sessions, supervise teams and consistently demonstrate his ability to prioritise, adapt and excel in a constantly evolving industry. Rik possesses an excellent understanding of mathematics and statistics, and approaches his work in a logical and methodical manner. Rik currently holds the position of IT Manager at Prime People Plc. Working in this role for the last 12 years, Rik has developed the company from two offices with a dual server setup to being a global company working from 7 global sites with a single central database. This has involved moves to virtual, new domains (AD infrastructure), co-lo hosting, full hosting and cloud platforms to server the ever-changing requirements, whilst keeping each stage economical in sympathy with the organisational growth.
