About Riley Allen

Career After independently financing his undergraduate & law school education through scholarships & working, graduating with honors, Riley began his career as an insurance defense trial lawyer with the very respected firm of Pitts, Eubanks & Ross, P.A. In 1985, the present firm was founded on the principle "word of mouth" is the best form of advertising. The practice is devoted to complex "high stakes" civil litigation related to commercial disputes, insurance bad faith, catastrophic personal injury & wrongful death, dangerous products, whistleblower litigation (the False Claims Act), consumer fraud, construction, & business fraud & litigation. The results achieved speak for themselves with more than 75 verdicts & settlements in excess of $1 million dollars and numerous results greater than $10 million. He has tried cases all over the United States. He has also lectured throughout the State of Florida as a continuing legal education speaker on topics involving medicine, claims handling, business fraud, insurance, & settlement & litigation techniques. An accomplished, passionate, & talented trial lawyer, he has served as a trial competition judge on behalf of the American Association for Justice, the Florida Justice Association, & The Florida Bar. Most importantly, he has served as a volunteer legal guardian for some 75 abused kids. He is also a Supreme Court Certified Mediator. When not working, he enjoys his family and big wave surfing. Riley is admitted to practice throughout the State of Florida & before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth, Ninth, & Eleventh Circuits, as well as before the United States Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice in the State of Nevada. He is an honors graduate of Florida State University, where he received his law degree. He has authored numerous publications, dating back to his undergraduate studies, and including, in the legal arena,"Do Students Know Their Rights,""Insurance Litigation in Florida,""The Bad Faith Insurance Manual," and "How to Litigate, Try, and Win the Complex Case," and a number of analyses of health care law and how compliance can and should be at all times paramount to any medical business model.
