About Riley Baker

I am a senior in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville working toward a business degree in Finance with a collateral in Marketing. I have always loved building relationships and individualization is my top strength; in my previous position as a waitress, I was able to point out each person’s strengths and use that in order to accomplish things quickly and collaboratively. I used my abilities to train new employees and my strategic skills to problem solve and quickly spot relevant patterns and issues. Some of my career interests include sales, financial planning, and wealth management. My past experiences with serving, nannying, and my internship in accounting and compensation have influenced my decision to pursue a career in the business world where I can work with people. I also perform research to stay knowledgeable on current industry trends and topics in the financial industry. My involvement in my sorority has fostered my interest in establishing relationships and being a part of something that is bigger than myself. My career goal after college is to use my love for working with others and goal orientation to pursue a career in Finance or Sales and to build connections along the way.
