About Rim Saada
On completion of BEng in Chemical and Process Engineering at London South Bank, I decided to explore the utilisation of carbon dioxide as a valuable raw material in the chemical and process industry. Therefore, I started a PhD in Conversion of carbon dioxide into value added chemicals using heterogeneous catalysis. I have tested various metal oxides for the direct synthesis of important organic compounds such as dimethyl carbonate. Recently, I have been working on the so exciting material, graphene, and decorating it with metal oxides which provides excellent heterogeneous catalyst for various chemical reactions. Also, I am passionate about teaching especially separation processes, heterogeneous catalysis, heat and mass transfer and reaction engineering.
