Trusted to oversee a $25M budget and 180+ staff that serve one of Canada’s fastest-growing municipalities, I implement multi-million-dollar programs that improve the well-being of our communities. With a unique combination of clinical, business, political and financial acumen, I assess stakeholder needs through multiple lenses. Understanding the social, emotional and physical impacts of change is one thing. Understanding whether policies are feasible and sustainable is another. A registered nurse turned senior strategic healthcare leader, I analyze healthcare holistically to break down silos, connect systems and enhance service delivery. An authentic advisor to senior leaders I mitigate risk and optimize performance by assessing diverse stakeholder needs, establishing buy-in and implementing policies. Some of my recent accomplishments include:* Reducing wait times by 30% for high-risk, vulnerable families * Decreasing operational costs 50%* Improving capacity 64%* Breaking down silos to implement return-to-work strategy supporting 200+ staff * Partnering with private and public sectors to provide digital solutions to support mental health * Advising senior leaders on strategies to decrease the practice of ‘hallway medicine’ * Redeploying 500+ staff (union and non-union) in response to COVID-19 * Identifying strategies to decrease staff burnout and improve efficiencies * Co-founding an organization to support 300+ marginalized high school students and securing $75K in funding to deliver programs At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, I developed a tracking tool to establish internal benchmarks for COVID cases. Having analyzed the process and tracked the time required for staff to resolve cases greatly improved our ability to make informed decisions. Committed to supporting health service integration and enabling appropriate, coordinated and effective health service delivery, I continually leverage my academic excellence and entrepreneurship, as a cutting-edge strategic healthcare leader to increase accessibility and affordability in healthcare.
