I am a recent graduate of Scripps College, where I majored in Public Policy at Claremont McKenna College and in Mathematics. Born in Japan and raised in Hawai’i, my upbringing as a first-generation immigrant in a multicultural environment drove me to public service. My main research interest is the distributional impact of local and state policy, particularly education and social policies. Long term, I plan to pursue a career in applied microeconomics and economic policy research that uplifts disadvantaged communities while playing to my quantitative strengths in mathematics, statistics, and economics.
